The Organon (from gr. ant. όργανον, instrument) is a collection of logical works written by Aristotle and compiled centuries later by Andronicus of Rhodes, a name given to it in the Middle Ages.
A long time took the Greek philosopher compiling these works, leading to the birth of Aristotelian logic as an academic discipline capable of analysing arguments that determined their validity by the formal rules of the syllogism.
